South Africa striker Bernard Parker has moved to Holland
Dutch club FC Twente have signed strikers Bernard Parker from South Africa and Ghanaian Ransford Osei.
Parker has signed a four-year contract and joins for US$1.26 million from South African side Thanda Royal Zulu.
Osei moves on a season-long loan from Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.
The Ghanaian under-20 striker was the top scorer at the African Youth Championship in Rwanda this year.
Parker, who impressed at the recent Confederations Cup, told a Dutch football magazine that he needs to play at the highest level so he can secure his place in the Bafana Bafana team.
He also pointed out that he is not an out-and-out striker.
"I usally play as a second striker to assist the targetman or as a winger in a free role," he explained.
"My qualities are creating spaces and delivering the final ball."
