Benin v Mali, Guinea v Malawi

SA 2010 logo
SA 2010 seems a long way away for most of the teams playing on Sunday

There are only two 2010 World and Nations Cup qualifying matches taking place on Sunday in Africa.

In Group D, Benin can close the gap behind Ghana to three points if they beat struggling Mali in Bamako.

Mali have just a point from their two games so far, whilst Benin beat Sudan at home so the Squirrels will be hopeful of progress.

In Group E meanwhile, both Guinea and Malawi are without points going into their clash in Conakry.

A win for either team would keep alive a faint hope for 2010 World Cup qualification, but they are more likely to be thinking about the Nations Cup in Angola.
