Wenger thinks Adebayor will stay

Emmanuel Adebayor
Adebayor has attracted criticism from some Arsenal fans

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is confident that Togo's Emmanuel Adebayor will be at the club next season.

Adebayor, who will miss the final game of the season against Stoke with a groin injury, has been linked with Chelsea and AC Milan.

While Wenger accepts things have not gone to plan for the striker this season he does not think he will leave.

"My gut feeling is he will be here. At the moment his future is at the club," he said.

"He has a long contract and we want to keep him at the club. I am hopeful I will be able to keep him."
