Jose faces tense finish in Egypt

Ahly celebrate winning the African Super Cup
Ahly have dominated continental and Egyptian football under Jose

Egyptian giants Al Ahly and rivals Ismaili can both claim the domestic title on Wednesday.

But the league may yet be decided in a play-off between the two.

The teams are level on points and play their final scheduled games on Wednesday.

To win the title one team needs to get a better result than the other.

If their results match the one-off game will decide who takes the crown.

Al Ahly take on Al-Gaish at the Military Sports Federation stadium in the Cairo suburb of Heliopolis.

Ismaili are on home soil when they meet Tersana at the Al-Qanaa stadium in Ismailia.

Both games kick off at 1600 GMT.

Tersana are one place off the bottom of the league whilst Al-Gaish are in seventh spot.

Al Ahly have dominated Egyptian as well as continental football in recent years, but Ismaili have emerged as their strongest challengers.

A title win would be the perfect way for Ahly coach Manuel Jose to sign-off.

He is leaving to take charge of the Angolan national team at the end of the month.

Jose has left coaching of the Ahly squad to his assistant Hossam el Badry this week.

Ahly are calling for their fans to turn out in force for the game against Al-Gaish, which could be Jose's last match in charge on Egyptian soil.

He will lead the team in the second leg of their Confederation Cup tie against Santos.
