Cameroon's Alain Nkong will play in France until the end of the season
French second division side Boulogne have confirmed the signing of Cameroon striker Alain Nkong until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old was handed the deal after impressing on trials following his exit from Mexican club Atlante.
Nkong, who scored Cameroon's goal in their 1-0 victory over Ghana in the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations in February, is keen on impressing at the northern French club.
"I'm very happy with this deal because it has given me the opportunity to continue my career in Europe," Nkong said.
"I want to join new team-mates by fighting to help Boulogne qualify for the top league."
Boulogne are in contention for promotion to the French top flight next season as they are currently third in the league.
Nkong won the Mexican title with Atlante in 2007 and was a member of the Cameroon side who lost 1-0 in the final of the Nations Cup by Egypt earlier this year.
The well-travelled forward has previously played for clubs in Spain, Portugal, Uruguay and USA.
