Cameroon are ranked 12th in the world, and stay top in Africa
Cameroon have moved two places higher in the latest Fifa world rankings and now stand 12th in the global table.
The Indomitable Lions remain the highest placed African side, 10 places ahead of Egypt, who lie 22nd in the worldwide list.
Cameroon secured their place in the final round of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations last month, which boosted their rating.
They are now two positions ahead of England and lie just behind France.
Egypt, Ghana and Ivory Coast all drop places in the main table with Ghana falling below the Pharoahs to third in the African rankings.
Equatorial Guinea are the biggest losers from the recent month, dropping 34 places overall - down to 121 in the world placings and 35 in the African list.
Congo-Brazzaville are the biggest climbers, rising 43 places in the global rankings to 57th in the world and 12th in the African list.
Overall, Spain remain the world's top team with Italy and Germany staying second and third.
Brazil move up two places to fourth and Russia come into the top ten for the first time since 1997.
