Drogba says that he is happy working under Scolari at Chelsea
Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba has admitted Luiz Felipe Scolari persuaded him to stay at Chelsea.
The striker was considering a move away from the English club in the
close season.
"I spoke with him [Scolari] and he showed he wanted me to stay and that's
what finally convinced me," Drogba told a British Sunday newspaper.
"It's true that it was 50/50 as to whether I would stay but I still think
I have something to prove."
Having worked with the Brazilian for nearly three months now,
Drogba has likened Scolari to his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who left the club a year ago.
"Scolari is one of those coaches who is very close to the
players. His style is similar to Mourinho's," said Drogba.
"I like this type of coach. I feel much more comfortable with
this style of management."
