Guinea midfielder Pascal Feindouno has had his controversial move to Qatar approved by the French club St Etienne.
The Guinea playmaker flew to the Middle East on Monday and signed a one-year contract with Al-Sadd, the former Qatari champions.
St Etienne then said they had not yet agreed to the deal and ordered him to return to France.
Feindouno then threatened not to turn up for Sunday's league game against his former club Bordeaux.
Now a statement on the St Etienne website says a deal has been agreed.
The deal, which is thought to be worth US$12 million, also includes the Brazilian defender Nivaldo.
But the disputes over the transfer may not be totally resolved.
Feindouno's former club Bordeaux will be entitled to claim a part of a transfer fee.
"We will keep a very watchful eye on that case," a Bordeaux spokesman told reporters, before the deal went through.
