Senegal's Guiran Ndaw put Nantes ahead after 20 minutes, but Le Mans triumphed 4-2 with Mali midfielder Modibo Maiga and Ivory Coast's Gervinho both among the scorers.

Marseille beat Sochaux 2-1 with goals from Algeria's Karim Ziani and Bakary Kone of the Ivory Coast.

Another Ivorian, midfielder Siaka Tiene, was sent off in the first half as his side Valenciennes were beaten 2-0 by Nice.
