Nigerian striker Peter Utaka has completed a move to Danish top side Odense BK from Belgian side Royal Antwerp.

Utaka said he was excited about the prospect of playing for the club in the Fionia Park, Odense stadium.

''The club play in Europe every season and they have a ground buzzing with support from passionate fans,'' Utaka told BBC Sport.

''I am very happy and hope to win trophies with this club because they have big players in the squad.

The 24-year-old, who is the younger brother of Portsmouth striker John Utaka, joined Odense on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

He has been in Belgian football since 2003 with spells at Patro Eisden Maasmechelen, KVC Westerlo and Royal Antwerp FC.

I hope to win trophies with this club because they have big players in the squad.

Last season he scored 29 goals in all competitions for Royal Antwerp and emerged as the top scorer in the Belgian second division.

It's a feat that German agent Sascha Guenter says attracted the interest of the Danish club.

"Utaka proved himself in Belgium and remained an Odense top target all through the summer," Guenter said.

"He is very happy with what he saw here and likes the composition of his new team-mates and environment."
