Madagascar are unbeaten in three games in Group Seven
Madagascar have fired Mickael Nivoson Andrianasy, who headed a trio of coaches at the helm of the team for their last three games.
The sacking comes despite draws against Ivory Coast, Mozambique and Botswana in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Franck Rajaonarisamba has been appointed by the Malagasy Football Federation to take over ahead of Sunday's game away to Mozambique.
Andrianasy's dismissal comes after Madagascar salvaged a 1-1 draw against Mozambique in Antananarivo last weekend, after being awarded a last-minute penalty.
The previous weekend, Madagascar put up a good home performance to hold Ivory Coast to a goalless draw.
Madagascar are a lowly 38th in the African rankings.
Rajaonarisamba won the Malagasy championship with AS Adema.
