Michael Essien
Michael Essien and Ghana could not preserve their perfect start

An 81st minute goal from Ahmed Osman helped Libya notch up a 1-0 away win in Lesotho to equal Group 5 leaders Ghana on six points after three games.

The match was played on Sunday in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Ghana's perfect start to their bid for place at the World Cup in 2010 came to an end in Libreville on Saturday.

Goals just before half time and on the hour mark from Rogur Meye and Stephane N'Guema gave Gabon a 2-0 win to put them back in contention for the group.

Gabon drop to third place with three points from three games while Lesotho are bottom having yet to make their mark.

The game between Gabon and Lesotho, which should have kicked-off this campaign, has still to be played.
