Liberia's scheduled training camp in Germany has been called off.
This follows the decision of the German embassy in Accra, Ghana, to deny visas to some members of the Lone Star squad.
"Seven key players were denied visas based on what the embassy says were statistical discrepancies" said LFA secretary-general George Williams.
He added: "We felt there was a need to keep the team intact, so going to Germany with this group left out would not have been a good idea."
Williams blamed poor coordination amongst those involved in planning the training tour for the visa problems.
He said: "The relevant information that should have come from Monrovia through to the German embassy didn't get there".
Coach Antoine Hey and five overseas players who are already in Germany will now have to join the rest of the team in Morocco for a friendly against the Atlas Lions.
