Metz win back docked point

Abdeslam Ouaddou
Ouaddou was abused during the game against Metz in February

French club Metz won an appeal against a one-point deduction imposed after their fan racially abused Morocco's Abdeslam Ouaddou in a league game.

Ouaddou, who plays for Valenciennes, suffered the abuse in February.

But the appeals commission of the French Football Federation upheld the decision that the club will still have to play a match behind closed doors.

Ouaddou was so upset at the barrage of abuse that he marched into the stands at half-time and was booked.

Metz, bottom of the French league table, are already sure of being relegated from the top flight next season.
