Super Falcons of Nigeria
The Super Falcons are one of Africa's best women's sides

Women's football has a strong presence on the African continent, with many of the powerhouse nations of the men's game providing strong female sides.

Nigeria's Super Falcons are Africa's top-ranked side, followed by Ghana's Black Queens and Morocco's Atlas Lionesses.

Of the five Women's World Cup tournaments that have taken place, Nigeria have participated in every one.

The Super Falcons' best performance was a quarter-final finish in 1999.
