Nigeria and Almeria's Kalu Uche celebrates with a somersault
Nigeria's Kalu Uche celebrated his goal against Barcelona in style

Spain

Kalu Uche scored an 85th-minute equaliser for Almeria as they held visiting Barcelona to a 2-2 draw.

Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o, playing in his 100th game for Barcelona, had earlier given his side a 2-1 lead.

The result means Barcelona failed to capitalise on Real Madrid's 1-0 loss at Deportivo La Coruna - Real remain 7 points clear of Barcelona at the top of the league.

Kalu's brother Ikechukwu Uche opened the scoring for Getafe as they beat Racing Santander 2-1.

Getafe are in ninth spot in La Liga just one place ahead of Kalu Uche's Almeria.


France

In France Ivory Coast striker Abdul Kader Keita kept Lyon on course for a 7th straight title with 2 goals in their 3-0 win over hosts Monaco. Lyon are 6 points clear of closest rivals Bordeaux.

Algeria's Rafik Saifi was on target for Lorient grabbing the equaliser a minute after visitors Auxerre had taken the lead.


England

Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure rescued a point for Arsenal with his second goal of the season as they were held to a 1 all draw at home by Middlesbrough.

The result saw Arsenal drop into second place in the Premier League behind Manchester United on goal difference, United also have a game in hand over Arsenal.

It was not such a good weekend for Ghana's Sulley Muntari who was sent off for Portsmouth for a second bookable offence as his side beat Aston Villa 2-0.


Germany

Tunisia's Karim Haggui opened the scoring for Bayer Leverkusen after just six minutes in their 4-1 thrashing of Nuremberg.

Leverkusen are third in the Bundesliga six points behind league leaders Bayern Munich, who suprisingly lost 2-0 at Energie Cottbus.


Holland

Ethiopia's Youssef Hersi helepd Twente Enschede beat Vitesse Arnhem 4-3. Also on target was was Swiss international Blaise Nkufo, who was born in the DR Congo, scoring twice for Twente in the victory.


Belgium

Morocco's Marouane Fellaini scored the winner for Standard Liege as they overcame Germinal Beerschot 2-1. Leige stay top of the league just one point ahead of Clube Brugges.

Nigerian Joseph Akpala got a consolation for Charleroi as they lost 3-1 at Excelsior Mouscron.

Morocco's Mbark Boussoufa and Egypt's Ahmed Hassan both scored in Anderlecht's 5-0 thrashing of Roeselare.

Mechelen had Cameroonian Aloys Nong to thank for their equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Racing Genk.

Ivorian Romeo Seka completed a 3-0 win for Mons Bergen over Zulte Waregem.


Portugal

Tarik Sektioui from Morocco secured all three points for FC Porto with a late goal in their 2-1 win over hosts Leixoes. Porto are now 12 points clear at the top of the table ahead of Benfica.

Also on target was Angola's Mateus for Boavista as they edged past Amadora 2-1.


Greece

Nigeria striker Patrick Ogunsoto scored the second goal for Ergotelis in a 2-0 win over Veria.
