Sudan's Nations Cup squad comes from the country's top two teams
Sudan have drawn their final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations finals from just two clubs.
The final 23 have come from from champions Al Hilal and cup
winners Al Merreikh.
Al Hilal, who edged Al Merreikh to the title by six points last year and also reached the semi-final of the African Champions League, contribute 12 players.
The rest come from Al Merreikh, who beat Al Hilal 1-0 in November's domestic cup final.
Coach Mohamed Abdallah restored striker Faisal Agab, who was the leading goal scorer in the qualifiers, to the squad after he was left out of last month's preliminary list.
The squad also includes his Al Merreikh team mate Abdelhamid Amari, who won the plaudits in the victory by the country's under-23 team at last month's East and Central
African Senior Challenge Cup in Tanzania.
Sudan make their first Nations Cup finals appearance in more than three decades, opening their Group C campaign in Kumasi on 22 January against Zambia.
Ghana will stage the tournament from 20 January.
