Nigeria Under-20 player Olufemi Oladapo has joined Boavista
Nigeria under-20 international Olufemi Oladapo has joined Portuguese side Boavista.
The move comes after Oladapo, who was released by Belgian side Anderlecht at end of last season, impressed the club during a recent two-week trial.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who was a star for Nigeria at the recent Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Canada, says that he hopes for better fortune in Portugal.
"I have another chance to prove myself here and I am confident," said Oladapo.
"The club believes in me and I won't let them down, I can only give my best at all time."
Boavista's president Joćo Loureiro says they have been impressed with the young Nigerian.
"He can become the best in any position in midfield," Loureiro told the club's official website.
"He is very creative, and can operate in an offensive or defensive role. We are happy to have him."
