Hosts Algeria began the men's football tourament at the All Africa Games with a 2-1 win over Egypt while Zambia draw 0-0 with Guinea in Group B.

Hadj Bougueche opened the scoring for Algeria in the 61st minute before Amr El-Halawany equalised for Egypt three minutes later.
The hosts winner was scored inth 72nd minute as Hamza Ait Ouamar found the target.
In the other Group B match Guinea and Zambia battled to a 0-0 draw.
The next matches in Group B are on Friday with Zambia taking on Egypt and Guinea playing Algeria.
In the Group A games Cameroon edged out Ghana 1-0, with a second-half strike from midfielder Christian Bekamenga, while Tunisia beat South Africa 2-1.
The top two advance to the semi-finals of the tournament, which features teams made up of mainly under-23 players.
