Ismael Bangoura has signed for Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev
Guinea striker Ismael Bangoura has joined Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev as their first close-season acquisition.
The 22-year-old moves from French side Le Mans on a five-year contract.
Bangoura, who finished as the third highest scorer in Ligue 1 last season with 12 goals, is expected to boost the attack of the Uefa Champions League campaigners.
Dynamo are reported to have fought off competition from Spanish and French clubs for the signature of the striker who has four caps to his name.
"We are delighted that we managed to literally grasp the player away from our competitors' reach," Dynamo spokesman Serhiy Polkhovsky said.
"He is a fast-progressing talent and a leader of Guinea's national team. We hope he will strengthen our attack."
Bangoura spent four seasons in France, scoring 15 times in 44 league matches for Ajaccio before his two campaigns with Le Mans yielded 18 goals from 56 appearances.
Dynamo begin their Champions League quest in the third qualifying round in August, having won the Ukrainian title without losing a game.
