Ellis Park will host some of the matches during the 2010 World Cup

A freak gust of wind blew advertising boards across the field injuring two players and forcing the abandonment of a South African premier league match on Wednesday.
Boards flew across the field and into the stands at Ellis Park, one of the 10 venues designated for the 2010 World Cup finals, hitting players after just five minutes of the match between Orlando Pirates and Black Leopards.
Two players, one from each side, were stretchered off and the assistant referee Steve Mosothle was injured by boards but all returned to the field after a brief stoppage.
The game continued for a further two minutes before referee Charl Theron called it off because of a lightening storm.
It was later abandoned.
