Pattison pulls out of SA squad
Egyptian national team
The Pharaohs are set to play Bafana Bafana on Wednesday
Midfielder Matty Pattison has withdrawn from South Africa's squad for Wednesday's international with Egypt because of a knee injury.

The 20-year-old Pattison has been called up for the first time for the match at Brentford's Griffin Park in London.

Pattison, born in Johannesburg but who left for Britain while still a child, made his Newcastle debut at the end of last season.

Egypt, meanwhile, have resolved their contractual problems with the organisers of the Nelson Mandela Challenge and the match is set to go ahead.

Earlier Samir Zaher, president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), had told BBC Sport that he was unhappy with arrangements made by match organisers, Star Meridian.
