Everton striker Victor Anichebe has been called up to Nigeria's under-20 squad.
The 18-year-old is part of a 37-man squad for the final qualifier for the African Youth Championship.
The Flying Eagles play Rwanda in the first-leg of the match in Abuja on 30 September.
Anichebe recently ruled out playing for England, saying his international future lies with Nigeria instead.
"I would love to represent Nigeria because that is where I'm from," he said.
"My family moved to England when I was just one year old, but I still feel Nigerian.
"I have been a fan from childhood and follow events back home on a regular basis."
The winner of the tie will qualify for the tournament to be hosted by Congo in January.
Anichebe was recently called up to play for the England under-19 team to play Holland on 5 September.
However, he did not feature in the match.
