Parreira will be the best paid coach in the country's football history

Roger de Sa, the coach of South African clubside Santos, has attacked the country's FA for the wages it will pay to national coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.
The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper described the US$253,000 monthly salary to be paid to the Brazilian over four years as "shocking, sickening and obscene."
"When I fully digested the information that a coach would be earning something like 100 million rand (US$14 million) in less than four years in our country, my stomach
turned over."
Parreira doesn't take charge of Bafana Bafana until February but his salary details and bonuses, along with a $79,000 monthly salary for his assistant, were confirmed by South African Football Association (Safa) officials in parliament on Tuesday.
The Brazilian, who watched South Africa's 0-0 draw with Congo in Saturday's Nations Cup qualifier, coached Brazil to World Cup victory in 1994 and is expected to lead South Africa to a credible outing at the 2010 finals it is hosting.
But De Sa believes the agreed salary is excessive by South African standards.
"The financial structures and needs of the ordinary people in Europe are totally different to those in South Africa," De Sa said.
"Let's also be frank. Without the right structures, Parreira will not produce any miracles for Bafana at the World Cup.
"Give Fernando Alonso or Michael Schumacher an old jalopy to drive - and they
wouldn't make any difference either."
South African football officials received a US$10 million grant from Fifa to rebuild
their squad for the 2010 World Cup.
