Morocco secures World Cup TV deal
Fans in Morocco can watch the World Cup
Morocco's King Mohammed VI has intervened to reach a last-minute deal with a pan-Arabic TV channel to allow Moroccans to watch some World Cup matches for free.

The deal with ART will allow Moroccans to watch some matches, including the semi-finals and final, for free on the two national public television stations.

Several North African countries have been scrambling to strike deals with the Saudi Arabian channel which has exclusive tv rights in the region.

The fees being charged by ART- $167 for a special decoder to receive the World Cup signals - is regarded as too high for many in a country where the minimum wage is $230.
