Former South Africa goalkeeper Hans Vonk has signed a four-year contract Ajax Cape Town.
Vonk's contract with the South African side's affiliate club in Holland, Ajax Amsterdam, ends at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old will continue playing for his new club for the next two seasons before joining the side's technical staff.
The goalkeeper retired from international football last November after winning 43 caps for South Africa, including trips to the last two World Cup finals.
Vonk, who was born in South Africa but raised in the Netherlands, played in the Dutch league for RKC Waalwijk, SC Heerenveen and Ajax.
