Cape Verde are now under the direction of former international Ze Rui
Former international Ze Rui has been named as the new national coach of Cape Verde.
He replaces Alexandre Alhinho, who resigned in January.
Ze Rui will take charge for the forthcoming friendlies against Portugal in Evora on 27 May and against World Cup finalists Iran in Switzerland three days later.
The new coach played as a professional in Portugal for Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses.
He then served as an assistant coach during the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign.
