Ghana's World Cup preparations are in danger of falling apart as the countdown to Germany 2006 continues.
Isaac Boakye may need kneee surgery
Leading striker Isaac Boakye may miss the Black Stars' maiden tournament after re-injuring his right knee.
Boakye will sit out Arminia Bielefeld's final three games of the German season and, if the injury is confirmed as a meniscus tear, would need surgery.
This follows news earlier in the week that another striker Lloyd Owusu's World Cup hopes also seem to be over.
Owsus picked up an injury as Ghana drew 1-1 with German club VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday.
Brentford's Owusu limped off after tearing a groin muscle and has been ruled out for six to eight weeks.
The friendly in Germany was part of Ghana's preparations for the World Cup finals in June.
Ghana are in Group E of the World Cup, along with the United States, Italy and the Czech Republic.
