Egyptian coach Mohsen Saleh has been appointed as the new coach of Libya, according to the president of the country's football federation, Jamal Jafari.
Egyptian Mohsen Salah is the new coach of Libya
Salah replaces the Croatian coach Ilija Loncarveic, who led Libya to their second African Cup of Nations finals earlier in the year.
Loncarevic's contract came to an end in March.
Libya had also had discussions with former Morocco coach Badou Zaki about taking over.
Salah coached Egypt at the Nations Cup finals in Tunisia in 2004 and also had a previous spell as national coach of his home country in 1995.
He also won the Egyptian league title with Ismaili in a rare break of the dominance of the two Cairo clubs Ahly and Zamalek.
