The Botswana Football Association has expelled Fifa executive committee member Ismail Bhamjee over a World Cup ticket scandal.
Bhamjee has been expelled from the Botswana Football Association
Delegates at the association's annual congress voted 42 to 40 against him at the end of a heated debate that went on past midnight on Saturday, officials said.
Fifa sent Bhamjee home in June after he admitted selling 12 tickets at three times their face value for the game between England and Trinidad & Tobago.
The long-standing sports administrator, whose Fifa mandate runs out at the end of the year, said he had acted in the belief he was helping desperate fans.
