115 mins: The Ivory Coast's Bakary Kone plays the ball into Didier Drogba on the penalty spot, but he has his back to goal and can't turn to get a shot as the Egyptian defence clears the ball.

111 mins: Egypt make their final change bringing on striker Abdelhalim Ali for defender Ibrahim Said, who seems to have injury.

110 mins: Egypt seem to be simply playing the ball around and aren't pushing forward too far.

108 mins: Emmanuel Eboue plays a one-two with Bonaventure Kalou but Eboue's final shot is high and wide of the goal.

107 mins: Essam Al Hadary dives at the feet of Bakary Kone who is trying to get a touch on a ball cut back by Didier Drogba.

106 mins: Mohamed Shawky side-foots a shot from the edge of the area towards the Ivorian goal but it is straight at Jean-Jacques Tizie.

105 mins: Egypt kick off the second-half of extra time.

100 mins: Essam Al Hadari makes a great save as Bakary Kone breaks in from the right and blasts the ball towards the Egyptian goal.

Ahmed Hassan hits the ball low to his left and Jean-Jacques Tizie goes the right way but the ball hits the post. In the aftermath of the awarding of the penalty Didier Drogba is shown a yellow card.

The referee gives a spot kick after Mohamed Barakat goes down after a challenge from Blaise Kossi Kouassi. The replays show both players went for the ball and there was minimal contact between the two and it seems a harsh decision.

91 mins: Didier Drogba heads down a deep cross from Bakary Kone but Bonaventure Kalou can't make contact and Essam Al Hadary dives on the ball.

90 mins: The first-half of extra time gets underway with the Ivory Coast bringing on Bakary Kone for Yaya Toure.

90+5 mins: The final whistle is blown and we are heading into extra time - Didier Drogba should have won it for the Ivory Coast and Egypt thought they had won it with seven minutes remaining, only for the strike by Amr Zaki to be disallowed for offside.

90+3 mins: There is some pushing and shoving after the Egyptians' take their time putting the ball out of play after Didier Zokora goes down injured after a foul by Mohamed Aboutrika.

90+1 mins: The Ivory Coast have free-kick 10 yerds outside the area but Arthur Boka's cross in is easily headed away by the Egyptian defence.

90 mins: Didier Drogba has another chance but he can't get over the ball after a cross by Emmanuel Eboue.

88 mins: Both sides are still looking for a winner in normal time and both have had efforts on goal.

83 mins: The referee disallows an Egyptian goal for offside after the ball was scrambled over the line after a long-range effort is spilled by the Ivorian goalkeeper Jean-Jacques Tizie.

80 mins: Arthur Boka gets into the area and his pass finds Didier Drogba who swings at it but misses the ball and it bounces away for the Egyptian defence to clear.

76 mins: It's an incredible miss from Didier Drogba who somehow puts the ball over the bar from just six yards out in front of an open goal after a great pass into the area by Arouna Kone.

76 mins: Abdelzaher El Saqqa gets a yellow card for a challenge on Arouna Kone.

74 mins: The Ivory Coast are putting pressure on the Egyptian defence and the ball falls to Emmanuel Eboue who is rushing into the area but his shot is wild and goes very wide.

70 mins: Didier Drogba's free-kick from 25 metres hits the wall that seems to rush forward before the ball is touched.

69 mins: Kolo Toure has a chance from a free-kick five metres outside the area but his shot is wayward and Essam Al Hadary watches the ball go wide.

68 mins: Mohamed Aboutrika crosses the ball in from the right but goalkeeper Jean-Jacques Tizie grabs the ball under pressure from an Egyptian sriker.

67 mins: The Ivory Coast are defending well and are looking to catch the Egyptians on the counter-attack.

63 mins: Didier Drogba controls a long ball over his shoulder and he tries a shot from a tough angle from the corner of the box but it goes wide.

60 mins: Egypt's Ahmed Hassan has a shot that goes wide when three of his team-mates are waiting in the area for the cross. The Ivory Coast make a change with Bonaventure Kalou replacing Kanga Akale.

56 mins: Egypt's captain Ahmed Hassan is booked for dragging back Kanga Akale as he races forward.

54 mins: The Ivory Coast's Emmuel Eboue is yellow carded even though his tackle on Mohamed Abdelwahab looks to be perfectly timed.

51 mins: Amr Zaki swings in two great crosses in quick succession from the left, the first is cleared by the defence and Emad Moteab puts the second over the bar.

49 mins: The Ivory Coast's Arouna Kone cuts in from the left wing and shoots from just outside the area but it goes wide of the Egyptian goal.

Both sides have created chances but Egypt have dominated possession and restricted the Ivory Coast to making attacks on the break.

45 mins: The Ivory Coast's Kanga Akale makes a run forward and gets in a shot from the edge of the area and it has the power but it is well saved by Essam Al Hadary in the Egyptian goal.

43 mins: A second booking for the Ivory Coast as Koffi Blaise Kouassi is shown the yellow card for a late tackle on Emad Moteab.

40 mins: The Ivory Coast's Kolo Toure misses at the far post after a corner is swung in and deflected down to him, he can't quite react quickly enough to get the shot on target.

38 mins: Ahmed Hassan races down the left and holds of a challenge as he breaks into the area along the byeline but his cutback falls for the Ivory Coast defence who make the clearance.

36 mins: Arouna Kone and Didier Drogba break forward but Drogba gets the ball caught under his feet and loses control with the Egyptian defence struggling to get back.

34 mins: Mohamed Abdelwahab swings in another cross from the left but none of his colleagues can get to the ball. The ball is put back into the area once again and it falls for Amr Zaki but his shot goes wide.

28 mins: Mohamed Abdelwahab is causing problems down the right for Egypt but his crosses into the area are not creating chances for his strikers.

25 mins: Kanga Akale races down the left and tries to cross the ball into the Egyptian area for Didier Drogba but once again the defence cut the ball out and clear it away.

24 mins: Mohamed Aboutrika holds up his hands and apologises for a wild shot on goal that goes a long long way over the bar.

21 mins: Wael Gomaa's injury is worse than feared and he is replaced by Ahmed Fathi.

20 mins: Mohame Abdelwahab gets in a good cross from the left but it Arthur Boka ensures that the Egyptian strikers can't get to the ball to try and head the ball goalwards.

19 mins: The Ivory Coast are dominating play in the midfield but they cannot find the final ball that would create a clear chance for them.

16 mins: Wael Gomaa leaves the pitch nursing an injury but he doesn't look too bad.

12 mins: Abdelzaher El Saqqa fires a free-kick from 30 metres out just past the post.

10 mins: The Egyptian defence intercept a ball that is meant for Didier Drogba as he tries to get in behind them to get a chance.

8 mins: Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam is spotted in the media tribune of the stadium.

6 mins: The first chance of the game falls to Egypt's Amr Zaki who collects a ball over the top but his shot is lacks power and goes well wide of the goal.

5 mins: The Ivory Coast's Kanga Akale shoots from outside the area but it lacks any real power and it is easily saved.

2 mins: The first flashpoint of the game as Mohamed Barakat goes down holding his face after he is barged by Kanga Akale, who is booked even though he didn't touch the Egyptian's face.

1603GMT: Egypt kick off the final of the 25th African Cup of Nations against the Ivory Coast. The Pharaoh's are chasing a record fifth African title.

1600GMT: The two teams line up for the pre-match photos before referee Mourad Daami tosses the coin in the centre circle.

1558GMT: The Egyptian anthem is greeted enthusiastically by the crowd of 75,000, and it seems that nearly all of them have a national flag to wave.

1557GMT: The Ivory Coast anthem is being played and the players try and sing along.

1554GMT: The two teams appear from beneath the Sphinx that has been built above the player's tunnell. They line up ready for the national anthems as President Hosni Mubarak takes his seat.

1546GMT: The two teams are read out over the stadium tannoy with the names of the Egyptian players greeted with cheers while the Ivorians are booed by the crowd.

1545GMT: Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam will not be sitting on the bench during the game as had been suggested in the build up to the match, but he is apparently somewhere in the stadium.

1535GMT: The motorcade of Egypt President Hosni Mubarak has just swept into the stadium and he will be taking his seat in his box for the game in a few minutes time.

1530GMT: A capacity 75,000 crowd has been inside the Cairo International Stadium since 1300. The BBC's Farayi Mungazi says that security is very tight indeed and he had to go through five check-points before he could get to his seat.

Hosts Egypt make just one change from their semi-final starting line-up with Amr Zaki replacing Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam, who has been thrown out of the squad following his touchline bust-up with coach Hassan Shehata.

The Ivory Coast bring in Blaise Kouassi, Kanga Akale, Emerse Fae and Arouna Kone to replace Abdoulaye Meite, Koffi Ndri Romaric, Gilles Yapi Yapo and Bonaventure Kalou.
