The 25th African Cup of Nations is happening in Egypt over the next three weeks with 16 countries taking part, but who will lift the trophy in Cairo on 10 February?
Tunisia won it for the first time ever on home soil in 2004 and in the tournament's history the hosts have emerged victorious 10 times, so can Egypt win the title for a record fifth title?
Cameroon and Ghana are the other two nations attempting to win the tournament for a fifth time.
Or could it be one of the other World Cup debutants Togo, Angola or Ivory Coast?
Could a so-called minnow like Guinea, the DR Congo or Zimbabwe spring a massive surprise and win the tournament?
Who will the 2006 African Cup of Nations?

I totally agree that Egypt have been struggling in African football at the international level, but they are unbeatable at home, Egypt are going all the way.
Ryan Naja, Egypt
I think Senegal are going to lift that trophy come 10 February. I don't know there's something about their football that I can't fail to support.
Ask Michael, Sudan
World Cup failure will be the driving force to Cameroon need to propel them to Nations Cup success.
S. Bismarck Appleton, Liberia
All the teams are good we cannot owrite-off any of them and with a bit of luck the trophy is going to back to Zimbabwe
Tavaka Zinyama, Zimbabwean in Russia
The Super Eagles will lift the trophy on 10 February. They have a good young team the bulk of which they have kept together since 2002.They have gained enough experience to win the tournament. The Ivorians and Cameroonians will be the only other teams to give the Super Eagles a run for their money.
Bronze Mandingo, Kenya
Morocco's squad can surprise anyone. Although they didn't qualify for the World Cup they were undefeated in their group.
Anouar Amrani, The Netherlands
The trophy is between the Ivory coast and Ghana. My only worry for the Ivory Coast is the civil unrest in the country before the kick-off.
Momodou Ceesay, The Gambia
Cameroon failed to make it to Germany, but I am sure that they will bring the African Cup of Nations back home for the Cameroonians.
Ben Benny , Sierra Leonian in Fnland
There will be no chance for an upset, as the old order will be restored and Nigeria will lift the cup high on the 10th of February.
Ayo Orabiyi, nigerian in uk
I am tipping Cameroon and Egypt and I am optimistic it is going to be one of those two.
Chinedu Maduabum, Nigeria
I am really looking forward to seeing Togo, Angola, Ghana and the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations ahead of the World Cup. It will also be interesting to see how Nigeria, Cameroon and Senegal react to their World Cup disappointment. For me, I think Tunisia or Cameroon may finish the tournament victorious.
Clive Collings, Sheffield, England
I fancy the Ivorians as they have a good team and I hope their discipline will pull them through. Egypt must not be overlooked as they also have a good team and in front of their home crowd as well will be a big boost. The surprise will be Nigeria and Cameroon, the Indomitable Lions for me need to start building as the team they have now is old. As a Nigerian I will support the Super Eagles and I hope they do well.
Peter Shakatu Adigun, London
The trophy is coming to Zambia. Especially after missing out on participation in 2004.
Chilangwa Humphrey, Zambia
Who else but Egypt? A team full of stars who are yet to be discovered. And as far as I know Egypt have not lost an official home game in 52 years, apart from the Ivory Coast qualifier. And I don't think it will happen now. I'm with Egypt all the way.
Amr Zaki, Egyptian in Canada
Once again the thrill of the African Cup of Nations is upon us, the passion is what captures my viewing time. I feel that there are the normal contenders for the title this year Cameroon, Tunisia, Senegal and the hosts Egypt. Though I believe the Ivory Coast will be triumphant because they are my firm favourites to go the furthest in Germany 2006.
Jonathan Blakeley, England
I think Nigeria has a good squad for the Nations Cup. The defence does not really inspire my confidence but the midfield and attack is full of talent and experience at the top level. How far Nigeria go in the tournament will depend on team selection and tactics. I can only hope that the trio of Austin Eguaveon, Daniel Amokachi and Samson Siasia can deliver, if they do they will lift the cup for sure.
Cyril Edeki, Nigerian in Germany
The trophy is not going to be engraved with a new name as it will definitely be handed over to a former champion come 10 February in Cairo.
Opeyemi Ajala, Nigeria
