Nyarko leaves Start
Ghana's Alex Nyarko
Ghana's Alex Nyarko has left Norwegian club IK Start
Ghana midfielder Alex Nyarko has left Norwegian club IK Start by mutual consent because of family matters.

Nyarko has struggled with injury since he joined the club in March suffering a string of injuries.

IK Start's managing director Harald Andersen confirmed Nyarko's departure to BBC Sport.

"Nyarko told us that he wanted to leave the club because of family reasons and return to Switzerland where they live," Andersen explained.

"So we decided to release him from his contract and as of today (1 June) he has left Start."

The former Black Stars midfielder has struggled to find a new club after failing to secure a work permit for the final year of his contract with English Premiership side Everton last June.

Before leaving for Norway he trained with both Middlesbrough and Southampton in England, but failed to secure a deal with either side.
