Egypt's Mohamed Zidan was another African on target in Germany, scoring for Mainz in their 5-1 defeat of Wolfsburg.
ITALY
Nigerian striker Stephen Makinwa scored his fourth of the season when giving Palermo a 2-0 lead against Cagliari. But the home side failed to capitalise and drew 2-2 with their visitors.
Another Nigerian, Christian Obodo, had worse luck, scoring but for the wrong side as his own goal handed Livorno a 2-0 win at Udinese.
FRANCE
Moroccan midfielder Gharib Amzine scored his first goal of the season when he got the winner for Troyes over Ajaccio.
Tunisian Francileudo Santos scored a late equaliser for Toulouse who drew 2-2 at Metz.
Senegalese striker Mamadou Niang scored only his third goal in 13 games since he moved to Marseille. His 60th minute equaliser helped secure a point in the 1-1 draw at Nancy.
Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye put in a towering performance for Bolton

Gabonese striker Daniel Cousin scored his seventh to give Lens the winner in the 2-1 win over St Etienne on Sunday. Lens have moved to fourth position after a poor start to the season.
ENGLAND
Senegal's Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye scored in Bolton's 2-0 win over Arsenal while Egyptian striker Ahmed Mido Hossam netted in Tottenham's 3-2 defeat of Sunderland.
HOLLAND
After his hat-trick a fortnight ago, Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah scored one more to take his tally to eight this season.
Amoah has so far scored 71 goals in 186 first division appearances since he started playing in Holland in the 1998/99 season.
Ivorian midfielder Aruna Kone got his sixth of the season, scoring in the 3-0 win over NAC Breda.
Sierra Leonean striker Paul Kpaka scored his third goal in 11 games for Roosendaal in the 2-2 draw with Feyenoord.
The goal was Kpaka's 54th since he moved to Europe four seasons ago.
BELGIUM
Sierra Leonean defender Ibrahim Kargbo saw red for the second time this season as his side FC Brussels drew 1-1 at Lierse.
Lierse's goal was scored by Ivorian midfielder Adolph Tohoua, his first of the season.
There was another first league goal for Guinean midfielder Aboubacarr Mbaye Camara who will celebrate his 20th birthday later this month.
He scored what turned out to be the winner for Lokeren who defeated Cercles Bruges 2-1.
PORTUGAL
Cameroonian Albert Ze Meyong scored his eighth of the season when he got the winner for Belenenses who beat Nacional Madeira.
Angolan Pedro 'Mantorras' Manuel scored his first league goal this season, getting the only goal of the game in the 66th minute for Benfica who defeated Maritimo Funchal.
GREECE
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure scored twice for Olympiakos who won 3-1 at Egaleo Athens. Olympiakos are in the lead after 12 games.
SPAIN
No goals for Cameroon hitman Samuel Eto'o but his countryman Pierre Achille Webo scored the second for Osasuna in their 2-1 away win at Malaga.
TURKEY
Egyptian Mohamed Farag Bilal scored his fourth for Konyaspor who won 3-2 over Gaziantepspor.
Nigerian striker Victor Agali scored his third when he opened the scoring for Erciyesspor who drew 2-2 Rizespor.
Tunisian midfielder Kais Ghodhbane got his seventh of the league for Samsunspor who beat Genclerbirligi 1-0. Gencler's Egyptian Mohamed Ayman was sent-off.
And the Egyptian striker Mohamed Hassan scored his fourth in the league with one of the goals for Besiktas who triumphed 3-1 over Manisaspor.
