Barcelona and Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o Fils is to appear before a judge in Spain on 7 April.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year, who will be in court in Palma, must answer charges of dangerous driving following a road accident on 10 October last year.

Eto'o, who is the top scorer in Spain this season, was involved in a collision with another car, with the driver suffering from neck injuries.

The Indomitable Lions striker walked away from the accident unharmed.

Mateo Canellas, the driver's lawyer, said his client wanted Eto'o to pay personal damages up to US$5,200, as well as $5,000 to cover repairs made to his car.
