Linsi is on a one-day visit to South Africa

Fifa's general secretary Urs Linsi has praised South Africa's preparations towards hosting the 2010 World Cup.
Linsi said the work done for the first World Cup that will take place on African soil was "ahead of schedule and well on track."
On a one-day visit to the country, to attend meetings
of the local organising committee, Linsi expected several contracts to be signed between Fifa and the local
organising committee in the coming weeks.
This, Linsi said, which would add to the impetus of the preparations.
The general secretary's trip coincided with the start of a second five-day inspection of the proposed venues for the 2010 World Cup by a team of Fifa experts, which visited eight proposed venues in July.
