Barthez apparently spat on the Moroccan referee

The France Football Federation (FFF) says Fabien Barthez will not enjoy any special treatment as it investigates allegations he spat at a referee in Morocco.
The incident apparently happened during a friendly game between Barthez's French club Marseille and Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca.
According to the referee's match report, France goalkeeper Barthez insulted and then spat at Abdella El Achiri during the match earlier this month.
Morocco's football federation (FRMF) is to report Barthez on Monday to their French counterparts.
"The file will be treated as usual, there will be no special favour and no desire to bury the case," FFF spokesman Jean-Yves Lehuede told sports daily L'Equipe on Saturday .
Marseille president Pape Diouf said the player had already been sanctioned by the club, which "should close the case".
Former Istres coach Mecha Bazdarevic was suspended for 12 months in 1991 for a similar offence.
