Koffi Romaric Ndri featured against France a fortnight ago
Ivory Coast striker Koffi Romaric Ndri has been seriously injured in a car crash.
The 22-year-old suffered a fractured collar-bone and a blow to the head after his vehicle apparently hit a barrier 15 kilometres from the Belgian town of Liege.
Ndri, popularly known as Romaric, is on the books of French club Le Mans, but played the last two seasons in Belgium for Beveren.
Before that, he was a star for Asec Abidjan, notably scoring twice for the Ivorian side in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2002.
Romaric played in Ivory Coast's last international, a 3-0 loss against France earlier this month, but was not named in coach Henri Michel's squad for Sunday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Le Mans say that contrary to initial reports, Ndri's life is not in danger.
