Dutchman Jan Brouwer has signed a two-year contract to coach Angolan side Primeiro Agosto.
Angolan club Primeiro Agosto have appointed Dutch coach Jan Brouwer
The former Zambia coach already has experience in Angola with Petro Atletico.
He lead Petro for 18 matches at the start of the just concluded Angolan season, before being fired because of poor working relations with the club's management.
Brouwer replaces Angolan Daniel Ndunguidi, who was sacked just before the end of the season, when Agosto finished sixth.
Francisco Pereira Furtado, vice president of Primeiro said that Brouwer has already recruited two Zambian players to begin the preparations for the 2005 season.
Brouwer lost his job with Zambia in 2001 when he was banned for one year by Caf for misconduct.
His ban came after he attacked a match official following a 2002 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Zambia and Madagascar.
Meanwhile, Desportivo Sonangol Namibe are Angolan FA Cup champions on Independence Day after beating Primeiro Agosto 2-0.
A 34th minute goal by Capique and another seven minutes before the end by Nuno gave Sonangol their second Cup title after their maiden triumph in 2001.
The victory means Sonangol will play in next years Confederation Cup.
Angola's other representatives in continental action will be Aviacao, who will be playing in the African Champions League.
