Defender Ateba Bilayi could make his debut for Cameroon in their next World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
The Paris St German player was included in the 18-man squad named by Winfried Schafer for the game.
Before moving to PSG, the 23-year-old had spent four years at Nantes and featured in their first team over the last two seasons.
Schafer and his squad, made up of entirely Europe-based professionals, will assemble in Paris on 30 August.
They will train there for two days before flying to Cairo on 3 September.
The Indomitable Lions top Group 3 of the combined 2006 World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifiers with seven points.
