Unheralded Morocco international Youssef Mokhtari is almost certain to be moving at the end of the season.
The attacking midfielder was one of the joint top scorers at the recent African Cup of Nations finals in Tunisia.
Mokhtari's German club Wacker Burghausen, who play in the second division of the Bundesliga, have admitted that they are unlikely to hold onto the 24-year-old.
The German magazine 'Kicker' reports that there are several Bundesliga clubs chasing the signature of the midfielder.
Guido Buchwald, the German coach of the Japanese J-League club Urawa Red Diamonds, has also expressed interest in the Moroccan, who is a German citizen after living in the country since childhood.
Mokhtari has a contract with Burghausen until 2006 but his performance at the Cup of Nations finals in Tunisia has given his coach Rudi Bommer a tough choice.
"We saw his rise to prominence with mixed feelings, because on the one hand the tournament gave him great self-belief and confidence and on the other hand it is likely we are now going to loose him," Bommer said.
Burghausen are currently mid-table in the German second division, with Mokhtari having scored five goals in 18 games for his team so far this season.
