Finidi returns to Spain

Finidi last played for English club Ipswich
Former Nigeria international Finidi George has returned to Spanish side Real Mallorca where he will undergo a month's trial with a view to joining the club when the transfer window opens in January.

The versatile 32-year-old midfielder, who left Mallorca for English side Ipswich Town in August 2001, said he was confident of proving his match fitness after a six-month absence from the game.

"It's great to be back at Mallorca again," George told the club's website.

"I am mentally prepared to regain my fitness as soon as possible."

Mallorca have made a shaky start to the season and lie in 17th place in the Primera Liga, where they are two points above the relegation zone.
