Brazilian legend Jairzinho is to be named coach of Gabon, reports say.
News agency Reuters reports that Jairzinho will be in charge of Gabon's World Cup qualifier against Burundi
The Brazilian legend, who was part of the 1970 World Cup winners that many consider the best team ever, replaces Belgian Michel de Woolf.
de Wolf quit as coach in July after Gabon failed to qualify for the 2004 Nations Cup finals.
Jairzinho has little coaching experience, but will be hoping for a winning start to his international coaching career.
His first game is a winnable home contest on November 16.
Gabon drew 0-0 with Burundi in Bujumbura last weekend in the first leg of the World Cup qualifier.
Jairzinho is the second Brazilian coach for Gabon in three years.
Antonio Dumas took the Panthers to the 2000 African Nations Cup finals in Ghana.
