Taribo West at the 2002 World Cup finals with Nigeria
Taribo has not played for Nigeria since 2002

Nigeria's Taribo West scored his first goal for Partizan Belgrade as they win the Yugoslavian league for a second successive year.

West scored in Partizan's 4-0 defeat of Vojvodina Novi Sad on Wednesday.

With 77 points from 30 matches, 13 more than city rivals Red Star, Partizan have won their 18th league title.

But Partizan's German manager Lothar Matthaeus asked his players for a professional and committed approach in the remaining four league matches they still have to play.
