Buselic returns to Zambia
Zambia's Harrison Chongo challenges Egypt's Hazem Imam
Zambia are keen to revive their football fortunes

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has recruited former national team coach Ante Buselic as its technical director.

The 70-year-old was Zambia's coach when the Chipolopolo finished second at the 1974 African Nations Cup.

FAZ president Evaristo Kasunga said Buselic will offer advice to the national team and clubs that require his help.

Kasunga made it clear that Buselic will not be replacing any of the national coaching staff.

However, details of Buselic's contract are still being worked out.

It is not clear if Buselic will accompany the national team to Tanzania for their forthcoming Nations Cup qualifier.

Buselic said he is happy to be back in the country.

"Zambia is my second home.

"I am here at your disposal. I'll really try my level best with the young national team and the premier division."

Chipolopolo Soccer Fans Association chairman Elijah Chisanga said his association had been fighting for his return.

"Our wish is that he stays longer," said Chisanga.

"When things are not okay, these are the people we should look up to."
