Brouwer moves to Angola
Jan Brouwer
Brouwer has had a colourful past with Zambia
Leading Angolan clubside Petro Atletico has signed Dutch coach Jan Brouwer on a two-year contract.

Brouwer quit Zambia after two controversial years in charge.

The coach was given a one year ban by the Confederation of African Football for harassing the match commissioner in a 2002 African Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo.

He also had a protracted dispute with the Football Association of Zambia over unpaid wages.

The 62 year-old trainer replaces Brazilian Jose Roberto Avila at Petro.

Avila was sacked at the end of the season after failing to retain the league title, despite an FA Cup win.

Brouwer is expected to start work in with the club before Christmas day.
