Martial named Niger coach
Yeo Martial takes over as Niger coach
Martial enjoyed success with the Ivory Coast
Former Ivory Coast national coach Yeo Martial has been appointed as the new coach of Niger.

Martial will take over the team ahead of their next matches in the African Nations Cup qualifiers, away at Guinea in Conakry on 30 March.

He replaces Harouna Doula Amadou after Niger were beaten 1-0 away by Liberia in a Group Two match last month.

Martial served as Ivorian national coach on several different occasions, taking the side to the 1992 African Nations Cup title in Senegal.

He also helped Abidjan club Africa Sports win the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1999.
