Parizon to coach Mauritius
Mauritius national team player will now work with Parizon
Mauritius national team player will now work with Parizon
Mauritius has appointed Frenchman, Patrick Parizon as coach of its national team.

The coach, on a two-year contract, will prepare the team for the 2004 African Nations Cup and the Indian Ocean Island Games.

Mauritius will stage the Games in September next year.

But Parizon's immediate task is the Cosafa Castle Cup, the southern African championship.

Their first match is against fellow Indian Ocean country Madagascar on 16 March.

Before now, Parizon, 51, had worked in Africa - as trainer of the Ivory Coast national team.

But he resigned from the job before the 2000 African Nations Cup.

Parizon had previously worked as coach of several French clubs, including Niort and Grenoble.
