Djebaili retains Algeria place

A pitch invasion ruined Algeria's historic game with France last weekend
Scottish-based striker Rachid Djebaili has kept his place in a 22-man squad named by Algeria for Sunday's friendly international against Burkina Faso in Annaba.

The St Johnstone player made his Algeria debut in the abortive friendly against France last Saturday in Paris, which had to be abandoned after 74 minutes because of a crowd invasion at the Stade de France.

Algeria were 4-1 down in a match which was billed as a 'peace game' as the Fenecs met France for the first time since achieving independence in 1962.

Coach Rabah Madjer announced the inclusion of eight European-based players in the squad to play Burkina Faso, which serves as a warm-up for January's African Nations Cup finals in Mali.

Algeria will play a second friendly against the Burkinabe, who are also headed to the Nations Cup finals, in Ouagadougou on November 12, officials said.

Goalkeepers: Merouane Abdouni (USM El Harrach), Hichem Mezair (USM Alger), Salah Samadi (USM Blida)
Defenders: Nassim Bounekdja (Chabab Belouizdad), Rabah Doghmani, Tarek Ghoul (both USM Alger), Moulay Haddou (MC Oran), Mahieddine Meftah (USM Alger), Yacine Slatni (MC Alger), Mounir Zeghdoud (USM Alger)
Midfielders: Majid Adjaoud (Sedan, France), Omar Belbey (Montpellier, France), Smail Diss (USM Blida), Karim Kerkar (Le Havre, France), Nasreddine Kraouche (Ghent, Belgium), Yazid Mansouri (Le Havre, France), Brahim Ouahid (MC Alger)
Strikers: Koider Boukessassa (Chabab Belouzidad), Rachid Djebaili (St Johnstone, Scotland), Farid Ghazi (Troyes, France), Fadel Settara (Chabab Belouizdad), Abdelhafid Tasfaout (Guingamp, France)
