England Schools Under-18 goalkeeper Ed Baldy is hoping his international debut on Friday will help him earn a professional contract.
The 18-year-old from Broughton Gifford is due to start against Northern Ireland in the Centenary Shield competition.
"I'm sure there'll be one or two scouts watching," Baldy told BBC Wiltshire.
"And if they're interested hopefully you'll get a call up to have a trial down at some club."
The University of Bath student is one of three Wiltshire players included in the final squad of 18.
He is joined by winger Connor Thompson from Swindon and Shrewton central-defender Jack Vallis.
Baldy plays for both Bradford Town in Division One of the Toolstation League and Team Bath's Academy who play in the Conference Youth Southern League.
And he still remembers the day he found out he had been selected.
"I was up at Team Bath academy training," said Baldy.
"My manager [calls all the lads together] and just says 'I've had a phone call and Ed Baldy's made the England squad.'
"I've already got a place for my England cap, funnily enough, and I've been thinking about framing the shirt as well."
